J.W. Brook (1970)
Jacques is chairman of the SOVEC Foundation. He is also Partner at Ordina NV. Before joining Ordina in 2006, he worked for KPN in The Netherlands. He has a background in mathematics and strategic management. He holds a Master of Science degree in computer science from the Eindhoven University of Technology and a doctor degree in business administration (with distinction) from the Maastricht School of Management. Throughout the years, his work has focused on helping companies to drive business transformation through innovation. Jacques is also involved in business development projects for small and medium enterprises, and large enterprises in Africa. In part-time, he is associate professor of corporate innovation strategies and emerging markets at the Maastricht School of Management.
H. J.Th. van Stokkom (1958)
Henk is member of the board of the SOVEC Foundation. He is furthermore self-employed through his company Van Stokkom Management & Advies BV in Dordrecht, The Netherlands. Coming from the futures trading and brokerage industry, where he worked as a director for Limako BV (partly owned by the E.D. & F. Man Group) and as vice president for Salomon Smith Barney Netherlands BV, he was also active as the financial director at one of the largest – at the time – privately held real estate companies in The Netherlands. He is an investment all-rounder with extensive knowledge on setting up investment funds. Currently most of his time is devoted to guiding grant making foundations and wealthy individuals by structuring their donation policy.
A.J. van Santbrink MSc (1959)
Albert Jaap is the managing director of Terre des Hommes. Terre des Hommes supports over 300 projects worldwide in the area of education, health care and independence. Children who are victims of serious exploitation, suffer from HIV/AIDS or are disabled receive special attention. Albert Jaap used to be associate director at KPMG Sustainability. He developed successful corporate sustainabilty policies for corporates. Till 2008 as the managing director of SOS Children's Villages he developed through innovation and leadership partnerships with corporates and governments. Before joining SOS, Albert Jaap was the general manager of Football Club Utrecht and worked as a senior consultant in marketing and communications. His personal mission is to help others to develop their talents.
R.D. Bakhuizen (1945)
Ruud Bakhuizen is member of the Board of the SOVEC Foundation and treasurer. He is owner of a real estate investment company. In 1995 Ruud and his wife founded Foundation to Earth and Mankind through Inspiration and Initiative (FEMI). The goal of this foundation is to create possibilities for people all over the world who live in poverty and have very few chances. Through his positions in several charitable organisations Ruud has an extensive network.
